Federal Air Marshals Intervene In Knife Attack On Long Beach Officer During Grand Prix Weekend

Two Federal Air Marshals conducting a transportation security assignment at a Long Beach transit station during the 2026 Acura Grand Prix intervened on April 17, 2026, when a suspect began repeatedly stabbing a police officer in the head and torso with a knife, physically subduing the attacker and helping secure the weapon.
